Young bull elk test each other's mettle at the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service's elk refuge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, a valley on the edge of Grand Teton National Park. In their summer range, elk feed on lush meadow plants and use forests for shelter. How lucky was I to have these two locking horns!
